Verdi Cristallo is a striking natural quartzite sourced from the mineral-rich regions of China, a country known for producing some of the world’s most vibrant and durable stone. Verdi Cristallo is distinguished by its subtle mix of forest greens, soft greys, and golden undertones.  This natural variation gives the stone an organic and exotic aesthetic, ideal for creating soft, statement surfaces.

Verdi Cristallo is a metamorphic stone primarily composed of quartz, making it exceptionally hard and resistant to heat, scratching, and etching compared to softer stones like marble. Its chemical composition is predominantly silicon dioxide (SiO₂), giving it a high level of durability, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor environments.

Due to its natural formation, Verdi Cristallo may display occasional inclusions, veining variations, or mineral bursts — unique crystalline patterns formed under intense pressure and heat. These features may include fine fissures, colour clouds, or embedded pockets of translucent quartz that shimmer subtly in the light.

These natural markings are not defects, but rather are considered evidence of the authenticity and uniqueness of the stone. As with all natural materials, minor visual differences are to be expected and celebrated.

This is considered normal:

• Mineral inclusions: Acceptable in varying shapes and intensities; they enhance the character of the stone.

• Surface fissures or pattern shifts: Acceptable provided they do not compromise structural integrity.

• Colour movement and veining: Expected and inherent to the natural beauty of  Verdi Cristallo quartzite.

Another feature that can appear in Verdi Cristallo are ‘taroli’, which are small craters on the surface of the marble and are the natural result of the crystallisation of calcium carbonate. It can be up to several millimetres in diameter.

This marble is characterised by a light to medium green veining that gently flows across a clean white background, offering a soft and harmonious appearance. Its  subtle tones and finer veining, making it a popular choice for spaces seeking a refined and consistent look.
