Amazonia is a striking natural quartzite distinguished by its dynamic mix of forest greens, soft greys, browns, and golden undertones — evocative of the dense, earthy layers of the Amazon rainforest. Amazonia is a metamorphic stone primarily composed of quartz, making it exceptionally hard and resistant to heat, scratching, and etching compared to softer stones like marble. Its chemical composition is predominantly silicon dioxide (SiO₂), giving it a high level of durability, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor environments.

Due to its natural formation, Amazonia may display occasional inclusions, veining variations, or mineral bursts — unique crystalline patterns formed under intense pressure and heat. These features may include fine fissures, colour clouds, or embedded pockets of translucent quartz that shimmer subtly in the light.

Natural characteristics may include ghiacciolo (ice-like) quartz crystal patches, taroli (small surface craters), and subtle veining shifts — each a hallmark of the stone’s authenticity and geological formation.

While visually durable, like all marbles, it remains susceptible to etching and staining from acidic substances and should be properly sealed and cared for.
