Nero Marquina is a luxurious natural stone tile known for its deep black base contrasted by striking white veining. Quarried in Spain, this dramatic and elegant stone adds bold sophistication to any space. The striking colour and classic veining of Nero Marquina  make it a popular choice for traditional and Mediterranean-inspired interiors, as well as bold contemporary applications. While Nero Marquina it has good structural integrity, like all marbles, it is porous and should be sealed to protect against staining, etching, and moisture damage.

Natural variations may include veining contrast, fossil inclusions, calcite streaks, and taroli (small surface pits or craters), all of which are considered part of the stone’s authentic character.

This is considered normal:

• Vein intensity and pattern variation: Expected and valued as part of its natural aesthetic.

• Fossil or shell inclusions: Common in Rojo Alicante and embraced for their organic appeal.

• Surface pits (taroli): Acceptable if less than 5mm and not overly concentrated.
