Thassos Stone is a luminous white natural tile quarried from the Greek island of Thassos, renowned for its pure, crystalline appearance and reflective surface. With its brilliant, snow-white tone and minimal veining, it brings unmatched brightness and elegance to any space. Thassos is a metamorphic stone primarily composed of quartz, making it exceptionally hard and resistant to heat, scratching, and etching compared to softer stones like marble. Its chemical composition is predominantly silicon dioxide (SiO₂), giving it a high level of durability, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor environments.

Due to its natural formation,  Thassos may display occasional inclusions, veining variations, or mineral bursts — unique crystalline patterns formed under intense pressure and heat. These features may include fine fissures, colour clouds, or embedded pockets of translucent quartz that shimmer subtly in the light.

These natural markings are not defects, but rather are considered evidence of the authenticity and uniqueness of the stone. As with all natural materials, minor visual differences are to be expected and celebrated.

This is considered normal:

• Mineral inclusions: Acceptable in varying shapes and intensities; they enhance the character of the stone.

• Surface fissures or pattern shifts: Acceptable provided they do not compromise structural integrity.

• Colour movement and veining: Expected and inherent to the natural beauty of Thassos quartzite.
