Viola Oro is a striking and luxurious natural marble quarried in Italy, admired for its bold colour contrast and distinctive veining. As its name suggests — “Viola” meaning violet and “Oro” meaning gold — this marble features a creamy white to warm ivory base, dramatically intersected by rich deep violet, burgundy, or aubergine-toned veins, often accented with touches of gold, ochre, or amber mineralisation.

This visually expressive stone is often chosen for high-impact design applications where natural beauty and statement aesthetics are desired. Due to its rare colour composition and dramatic patterning, Viola Oro is especially popular in boutique residential projects, luxury retail spaces, and artistic installations.

Geologically, Viola Oro is a calcium carbonate-based marble, making it moderately durable but still sensitive to acids, oils, and abrasive cleaners. • Dramatic veining and tonal shifts: Expected and valued; each slab is visually unique.

• Quartz or mineral inclusions: Acceptable in any shape or size; often add depth and sparkle.

• Surface pits (taroli): Acceptable if under 5mm and not overly concentrated.
